Half frost giant half Valkyrie Auðbjörg a physically and spiritually powerful witch. in 1892, soon after her birth, she was found frozen and abandoned, presumed dead, in the snow near the Dettifoss waterfall in Iceland. The couple who found her (names unknown) took her to the nearby town of HúsavÃk to see if a child was missing. On route she woke up and began crying so they fed her what they had. When they reached HúsavÃk no one claimed her so they raised her as their own.
Auðbjörg grew fast and soon became a fearful hunter sometimes leaving the home for 3 or 4 days at a time. She loved to ride to the coast where she would travel out into the Northern sea and fish or harpoon seal, occasionally diving naked into the water finish off a kill.
In 1917 her parents were both killed in a fire while Auðbjörg was away fishing. When she returned she found the house still burning and was able to put the fire out simply by thinking ‘wishing’ it. This was the first of her powers to appear.
