Cross is well spoken, born sometime in the early 20th century. He has a good education, though not exceptional, and is very open-minded. He refers to himself as a company man, as in he will get the job done, but can be complex and filled with contradictions and can be highly reactive at times.
Cross likes traditional clothing such as a suit, preferably with a waistcoat, trenchcoat or overcoat. He often wears black police boots under his trousers, sometimes smart trainers. He has tattoos on his right arm, which are quite faded and seem military, and there are scars on his back. Hair is not styled, but he keeps it medium/short and out of the way.
He’s just under 6ft, slim and solid, but not buff, and keeps fit mainly by walking and doing practical things like gardening or building. A proficient boxer who’s picked up some bits of other martial arts along the way, though he prefers not to fight.
He seems very open, sharing his views and feelings readily, but there is a side to him that’s closed off, and he keeps his feelings under control, sharing only when he feels it’s necessary. A dog lover but he has no pets.
Special abilities
Advanced eidetic memory: Cross can recall anything he’s seen in detail. He also has superior recall of historic events he experienced alowing him to revisit a situation as an observer. An additional self taught ability is being able to lock a memory up so he ‘can’t remember’ unless he sees a visual trigger. He keeps these in a notebook at the office.
Persistent time memory: Cross is unaffected by time abnormalities. If a change is made in the past which affects his timeline he retains the memory of both the previous and current timeline with an understanding of the changes.
