Jane was born in Dudley and moved around a bit with her Mom, Dad and Sister until finally settling in Rubery when she was 6 and her Dad got a job at British Leyland in Longbridge. She went to University and met her husband there.
She wears simple clothing, mainly supermarket brands, and anything she can find in charity shops. Loves jeans and dungarees, and her favourite colour is green. Her mom cuts her hair, which is shoulder-length and normally in a ponytail. Once a month, she gets her nails done as a ‘treat’.
She’s about 5ft 5, slim build, but not a gym goer. Being a mom keeps her fit enough, though she sometimes goes for a run, which she’s enjoyed since university. She has a small garden she loves to plant in, a mix of vegetables and flowers, which both the boys also enjoy in different ways. She did some karate lessons when she was young but didn’t enjoy it. She plays guitar, which she learned to play at Uni and loves Bob Marley songs.
She’s very open, honest and has no time for bullshit or lies. Her emotions can be quite close to the surface, and she’s exhausted from raising the boys alone, but she loves them and is happy, holding on to the positive things and looking forward. Her husband left when Stephen was 3 with very little explanation and moved back up to Scotland, never seeing the boys again. He pays maintenance, but that is all the contact they have.
