New friends are hard
New friends are unfamiliar
And they bring magic, laughter and life into my heart
I overthink so much
I overstep and risk a loss
And they see past my cluelessness and see I care
We bow and bend
We find our way and hug
And sometimes we smile and laugh and cry and sob
I misunderstand
I spill my thoughts in text
And fear I say too much, and I don’t sleep, and they send me a kiss
